But----

Chevron Techron Concentrate Plus is what GM resells, and is used in their service dept.


thats what I use.

 

Definitely a good suggestion then. Have you noticed any results from the Chevron formula?

 

I've poured a can of SeaFoam in the tank once a year and it does
seem to improve response and smooth out running to some degree.

Doesn't touch the valve deposits fro GDI though.

I run some every 5,000 miles.
both the Equinox and Traverse.


Traverse is about to hit 140,000 and yet to have a dealer trip because of excessive carbon.
I do occasionally get a few misfires. Usually when its cold weather.... and what do I see.... that im at about 4000 miles since my last treatment.


The misfires cause little blips in the tach- and when I scan, I can see 5 misfire here and there.
But after I run a bottle. I dont see the blips for a while.


It appears to help with carbon that builds up on the lip of the valves sealing surface.


When I did my plugs at 100K, yeah there was carbon on the back side of the valves.
But, as long as I can keep misfires away....




By the way, BWM/Kia/Hyundai also resell Techron.
Kia also has Bulletins on running it on their DI engines.
