Sticking caliper slide pin

For the past couple of weeks, my wife had been mentioning there was some very slight noise coming from the passenger side just as she came to a stop. As a driver, I couldn't hear it. But then I was a passenger and finally heard it. Finally got a chance to take the wheel off this weekend, pads looked good, nothing was "obvious" on being failed. Decided to pull the caliper off and low and behold, the upper slide pin was sticking.

Pulled it out, removed the boot, cleaned the pin and boot, regreased it, and re-assembled it. While it was apart, I did the same to the pads and clips.

Questions:
1.) What grease do you all normally use for the pins?
2.) How much grease do you usually put on those pins?

I have never had pins that I cleaned and greased in the past year or two do this. Usually only pins that have been in place for 5+ years do I find sticky like this. I actually need to go back through my records to confirm when the last time I had this all apart was. I know I inspected, cleaned, and greased the brakes about a year ago, but I cannot remember for sure if that included the guide pins. If I didn't, the last time they had been done for sure was back in 2021 when I replaced the pads last.

One of the caliper pins has a rubber ''ring'' on it and they do swell over time and bind slightly. GM uses it on all their brake caliper pins. Just on one, I forget if it is on the upper or lower pin. I've run into that on several GM vehicles I've had in the past.
