I have an 09 Sport. I noticed some squeaking coming from the rear hatch a few months ago. It has gotten to the point where it is pretty loud. It sounds like styrofoam rubbing together. I have lubricated everything back there that I can see, and checked in the spare tire hatch for anything loose. I did some trial and error to try and troubleshoot the problem. If I leave the hatch open I don't hear it anymore. Has anyone ever had this problem? Is there a way to adjust the hatch myself so that I don't have to take it to the dealer? Is there something to adjust with the latching mechanism?
