when the wife gets home from work i'm going to go start tearing things up...i don't even have a grinder...we'll see what i'm up against...got a dremel that hasn't failed me yet lol.

i find it odd on precision's site there's no link to the instructions but i see links to other vehicles...wondering if it's because of the whole "destroying your original part" thing

None of the ones I saw besides this one got rid of the front logo. I figure the more complicated the install, the less people will have one :)

Nice job, cograts on your effort...Nothing I would try to do and in one night too..
Does make the vehicle look different and probably a one of a kind in your area...

Thanks :) I wasn't really fond of it at first after installing it. That might of just been hard feelings for all the work (and the little bit of blood) it cost me. But the more I look at it the more it's growing on me.

Feel free to drop by and install one for us anytime, that is slick Jeremiah!
Thanks for taking the time to post the "how to" as well.

For my part, i prefer the OEM chrome grill i have with my SLT-2, or if you give me the choice between the 2 showed here i prefer the 3 pieces insert than the full one. A waaay to big... I don't like the look... Sorry Jeremiah. That's my opinion...

Re: "precision" billet grille...anyone have one? **updated with install pics**

I love the look to and it really looks good. Will check on what shop or garage carries those Billet Grills I think I saw something similar in Truck Parts sites. This Truck Parts[/color] page carries them Billet Grille.

If I did everything to please others it wouldn't be my own vehicle ;) I like it and that's all that really matters to me quite honestly :)

If you find something make sure to share :) I couldn't find much in terms of full replacements as opposed to overlays.

Just installed my 3 piece insert.
I have to admit, the 3-piece looks great too. I was looking at this first and then gravitated towards the Denali style grille. I guess most after-markets looks good because they are new and different than what we look at every day.

First off....Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...

We should ALL recognize modifications as part of making a vehicle YOURS !!!
To set it apart from the crowd...
I live by the Mantra of "Modding the Mod to make it MINE"

GMC has had the "Big Mouth" also known as the "Large Mouth" grill for years
Just like Chevy has had the "Power Bar" in it's grill for years...

I was somewhat dismayed by the Terrains segmented quasi 3 section grill
It immediately reminds me of the "new" Ford look...found on their trucks and the Edge

So I happen to "respect" Jeremiah's return to the Big Mouth look
And as much as I respect what he did...if I had a Terrain...I'm not sure if I would follow his direction...

But the bottom line is...we should respect those who take the time and make the effort and spend the $$$ to mod their vehicles even if it doesn't meet our taste

So...to Jeremiah I say...

GREAT JOB !!!

Whats the purpose of that comment ? Even if we don't like a mod, that doesnt mean "hey Jeremiah, you are a stupid S O a B... I don't like that grill and that doesnt mean that i dont like Jeremiah and that i don't approove what he is doing... All the tastes are in the nature... The most important thing is that HE loves it ! All people here are giving their opinion, that's the purpose of a forum, it's not a fanclub.

By the way Jeremiah, i hope that you are not upset if someone doesnt like that grill ? And, i think you made a very good job installing it.

lol, i used to mod the hell out of a scion xB so i'm used to haters ;)

but i took no offense to someone saying their opinion...if you said my truck was ugly or i was dumb for doing it, i might be a little steamed. but then again i drove a roller skate for 5 years so i've developed a thick skin for ignorance ;)

Re: "precision" billet grille...anyone have one? **updated with install pics**

Apparently the above billet grille is no longer available. I recently attempted to purchase it through American Truck and Auto Accessories and received an e-mail two weeks later stating that they were no longer manufactured. Would anyone know where it might be found? Thanks in advance.

Re: "precision" billet grille...anyone have one? **updated with install pics**

I installed a Denali style grille insert on my Terrain without too much difficulty. I thought it would be easier if I took off the front fascia but I couldn't get the dang thing off. So I followed the directions that came with the grille and "propped" the top of the fascia forward. This gave me enough room to stick my arm down and attach the insert. I didn't have to drill but they recommended drilling relief holes for the bottom bolts. Without the relief holes, it took me longer to thread the nuts on the bottom bolts because there was barely any clearance for the nuts to screw on. My arm did get a couple of scratches though.

G- Lets see some pics! I want a new grille for my truck. Not sure if I like the SLT2 chrome and black plastic look, Denali style grille or the Mesh look..
