New car, new mods

Hello all,

Recently bought a Chevy Equinox 2017. Seeing the automatic and manual combo with AWD, I see opportunity for some good mods. I wanna make it eligible to do some simple off-roading and still be a daily. But I’m not also trying to make it look like a kid slapped a 6 inch lift on it with 40 inch tires. Can you guys give me a list of easy cosmetic and performance mods please? Much appreciated

There really isn't much in terms of modding. There's not a large enough market for aftermarket stuff. Other than maybe an exhaust, cai, and wheels. As in lift kits or lowering springs you would need to find a fabricator to build you those items.

I’ve seen a 2.5 inch lift kit on an older thread but no link or anything to the kit. Do you have any fabricators that I may contact? I’m not looking for anything wild. I live in Florida and there isn’t many places to off-road so it’s not gonna be a huge lift. Just decent hills, rock gardens and mudding.

Maybe LED map and dome lights inside. LED back up lights.
Possibly LED headlights. I wouldn't mess with LED turn signal or brake lights. Adding resistors and wiring to make them work .. . not worth it.

Get some custom floor liners .. . . I got these and loved them.

Other than that. . I would do a good hand wash job. .. . clay bar the paint. Then apply some good polish like these and in this order - -

Meguiar's M20532 Mirror Glaze Ultra Finishing Polish
Maguiar's Synthetic Sealant 2.0
Mothers CMX Ceramic Spray Coating

Jaxon, just a word to the wise, the transfer case and maybe the rear differential too may not stand up to even "simple" off-roading, these AWD's were designed for those areas that see snow and ice and not for mud or sand which will put more stress on the drivetrain. Search this forum, I believe there are several threads on the transfer case giving out after only 75K miles or so, and that was with normal use.
