Put onstar on speed dial, they will unlock it for you if it ever happened.
I have the OnStar app on my phone, so I could've always used that. But I wasn't planning on and haven't re-upped my subscription to OnStar and my trial ended a few days ago. I try to keep the "keys in purse" method all the time. I've only ever locked my keys in my car once in my life, but I'm cheap and don't want to have to deal with that if it happens again, lol. I hate paying for stuff when it was something that could have been easily prevented.

A few years back I was at the Saturn dealer. They wre talking about a woman who couldn't get into her car . She called the dealer who called roadside. When they got there she said her fob wasn't wokring and she couldn't get in the car. The road service person opned the door with the key :D
Wow. ...I really wonder about people sometimes.

I resent that statement. lol

You just reminded me -- I have delayed locking on my Sky and I see it as an option on the Nox. No matter what I do I can not seem to get it working. It allows you to hit the lock button on your fob (then put it in your pocket or purse) and once you close the last door -- it locks and arms the car in 5-10 seconds. I tried to set it up the first time I set options but did not get it to work -- anyone get Delayed Lock to work??

I have not done it, but as I recall, people do it by pushing the lock button on the center stack (infotainment center) to activate the delayed lock - not the button on the fob.

I have been having a problem with my CD player starting with track 1 every time I restart the car. I have been pushing the door lock button on the dash. Yesterday and again today I pushed the remotes door lock button and the CD player continued playing the last track that was playing when I got out of the car. Hmmmmmmmm. Weird.

I noticed for the first time yesterday (after ten months of ownership) that the little icon in the corner that shows a door open actually shows which door is open. I always thought it was just a generic symbol but with both doors open on one side of the car it actually showed two little indicators, and when the back door was shut, one went away.

I would be happy to look into this for you with your VIN. Thank you in advance.

Dealer already did an upgrade, but it didn't work so he said it will have to be replaced. The next time I bring it in they will switch it out.

Ok, here’s an interesting one:

The Equinox/Terrain includes an “Unlocked Door Anti Lock Out” feature that, when turned on, will keep the driver’s door from locking if it’s open and you either press the lock button on the center stack, push the door plunger down, or press lock on the remote. All the other doors will lock, however. Now, if you close the driver’s door, it remains unlocked, and the horn chirps three times, probably to warn you that one door is still unlocked.

I guess the intent is to prevent accidental locking by limiting who locks the vehicle (the person with the remote after all doors are closed).

Had the wipers on this afternoon, and noticed the headlights came on automatically after a short period. Turned the wipers off, lights went out. Turned them back on, lights came back on. Same result whether on intermittent or on low. Nice feature here since you have to have your lights on when your wipers are on.

Speaking of lighting -- I noticed when you turm your fog lights on and have to use your high beams -- teh fog lights go off until teh highbeams shut down...
I'm not 100% sure but I think this is the case on most cars...I think there are modifications (on some cars) that can be done to allow use of both at the same time.

Thank you everyone that posted on this thread. I got a lot of tips. I am glad all of you have shared some cool features. BTW I use the quick blinker thing all the time.

I have a 2007 (SKY) -- High beams and Fogs on at the same time -- so it must have gone universal in the last few years

Took delivery of our 2012 Terrain SLT! this week---Gold Mist with Brownstone leather. Found a small diameter bungee cord --15 inches long, hooks on both ends, packed in a ziploc bag in the glove box. What is this for? No label or part no.

You hook one end to the back seat arm rest/cup holder loop and secure it to the back of the back seat. This will make sure that the armrest doesn't fold down, while driving, if you have a rear facing child seat set up in the middle of the back seat. The anti-bonk baby strap.
