Heater Temp Fluctuation

I just replaced the blend door actuator because it was making a clicking noise. The clicking is gone, however now I'm getting significant fluctuations in the temperature of the air being blown out. Seems to fluctuate more in the mid temperature range than at the extremes. Could this be a bad (new) actuator? Bad install on my part? Any ideas?
