We have a 2017 GMC Terrain. We don't have apple carplay. Can we have it added or do we need to replace the radio system. I don't know much about how to do this & would love for anyone suggestions about this issue. Thank you.
Hey I know this was a while back but figured people (like me) might still want a solution. You can spend the $1000ish for that MVI replacement, or you can spend $30-$100+ depending on features you want and just add a standalone screen with Android auto and car play built in. Amazon and temu have tons of them.We have a 2017 GMC Terrain. We don't have apple carplay. Can we have it added or do we need to replace the radio system. Sure if you have a spare $1000+ laying around to put into a $9000 car. I prefer the $40 option I got.If you want a truly clean and lasting integration, I recommend option A: a properly installed CarPlay stereo. You also often gain in audio quality, navigation, and future compatibility.
Hey I keep getting emailed about this thread so wanted to jump in. Did u read my comment to it? Look for a wireless car play screen on Amazon or temu. They have a bunch. What exactly did you buy. My 2017 doesn’t have car play from apple or navigation, both of which I really would like. I just see so many different options that makes me confused. I just want to be able to use my Apple Music, navigation and other apps that are linked to my iPhone to a radio. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
