I previously had an upstream o2 sensor go out. Replaced that. Replaced all spark plugs, and #1 coil pack. No engine lights but cars starts at ~1500rpms and goes down to 1000. It stalls more going down when not completely full.. I've cleaned injectors,, and air filter. As it goes down in gas it does it more and more on start up.. no engine codes thrown and no trouble driving.. any thoughts?

Sounds like the throttle body. I had a similar issue. Mine would run 1200rpm then slowly drop, when engine was warm rpm rested at 500 then would shake, and act like it was stalling then stall. In the end I cleaned the throttle body, worked for about two days, So I bought a new one and installed and has worked since. It's been about 1 1/2 years now.

Hi,
The throttle body is notorious on the 2.4 ecotec engine...if that's the one you have on your Terrain. There has been recalls related to it. That engine has two problems; piston rings and high pressure fuel pump.
The rings burn your oil. The high pressure fuel pump has internal leak that dumps fuel into the top of the engine, not in the combustion chamber but the camshaft area. This fuel mixes with oil and gets sucked by the PCV hose into the intake. Then as this air/oil/fuel mixture goes thru the throttle body, it dumps excess dirt. This is why the throttle body needs more frequent upkeep.
This fuel pump problem can cause low fuel mileage, throttle body dirt, fuel in oil smell, fuel in cab, etc.
GMC did a recall but my mileage was out of range. I changed my fuel pump from a youtube video. The only one I could find. But I'm afraid to tackle the piston rings tho.
Does anyone here suggest a decent youtube video on GMC ring job? Here is the one I used for the pump.
