Here's a head scratcher...... Not sure if there is a more appropriate board to post this on but since I have an SRX I'll do it here. Have had my 11 SRX for a month and a half and have XM Radio. I had XM in my old car as well and will continue with it on my SRX even after my free 3 months are up. It seems over the past week whenever I am listening to an XM station and leave it on that station after turning the car off, when I start the car again it is on a different XM station. The same one each time. It's an obscure station I don't listen to - MLB Network. This only started recently and did not do this the first 5 weeks of driving this car. I checked to see if there was a configure setting that somehow has it starting on the same channel but I couldn't find it. As a test, I left my radio on an FM station instead and when I re-started the car it was still on that FM station. But when I again left it on an XM station (that wasn't the MLB Network), it went back to the MLB Network the next time I started it.

Very strange!

Yea, I have plenty XM stations programmed and saved in my favorite lists. In fact, I just noticed that I have 4 favorite lists but I only use 2. I looked at Fav 3 and Fav 4 and noticed that the MLB Network was saved in the 5th slot of Fav 4 list. So I changed that to something else (ESPN). Then I turned to an XM music station and turned the car off. When I started it again, the station that was on was ESPN instead of the music station I last had on. So for some reason, the radio is defaulting to the station that is in the fifth position of my Fav 4 list (which used to be the MLB station).

Not a huge problem. Just very very wierd. And it just started in this past week.

I always turn my volume all the way down, and turn the radio off before turning off the vehicle (I know, I'm a bit anal that way), but when i do turn the vehicle back on and turn the radio on, it always retains the station it had when it was shut off.

A quick update. Just to recap, I discovered that all of a sudden when I turned the car off and turned it back on radio would default to the XM staion that was set in the # 5 position of my Fav 4. Wierd. So I decided to deactivate my Fav 4 setting (you can choose to have 2 to 6 Fav settings, I believe - I had 4 active). Now, with only 3 Fav settings, the radio behaved normally. That is, when I started the car the radio is still on the same station that I was last listening to. Then, I reactivated the Fav 4 setting and the radio is still behaving correctly.

So I guess that fixed it. We'll see for how long..........

You can go into the menu and set it so that the radio is always turned down to a level that you choose the next time you restart the vehicle, you don't have to turn it down yourself before you shut it off each time.
