XM radio free trial should be up.....Question??

I took delivery of my Equinox on February 26th, 2011. I am enjoying the xm radio. I love it!!! I'd like to keep it. Someone said that if you tell them you love it, but can't really afford it, they will offer you a deal to keep you as a customer.

My question is........do they contact you, or am I supposed to call somebody? It is aleeady the end of the 3 months, and I haven't heard or even know what to do.

Thanks!!

Keep your endearment to yourself

Let them come to you

Act disinterested

You did learn that when it comes to how to treat men...right? ok...ok just tryin for a laugh
Hell they blow up my mailbox, telephone and E-mail. I'm surprised they don't drop flyers from airplanes on my house :eek:hno: If your'e getting close to the end of your free trial call them, But tell them you can only afford 1/2 price for the first year. Then call them back in 11 months and do it again ;D
I've had my Nox for a little less tahn a year. 2 mailings, 1 email. I don;t know if they called as I never answer calls that I don't know using my caller ID. It expired after the 3 months. It restarted again yesterday (I did not initiate). HAve to see how long it lasts. It still drops multiple times so I'm not going to get it.
I got my Equinox on February 5, 2011 and when I called them I told them that I wanted the $77.00 deal for one year and I got it. Don't pay the $142.00 that they want. I love XM radio and they are willing to keep you as a customer rather than loose you.
I got the XM deal for 77.00 plus added best of Sirius.....Im still getting calls/emails/letters from both XM and Sirius.. Im actually surprised that you havent heard anything from them yet..but dont worry..they WILL get a hold of you!! :banghead:
Thank you everyone!!! Mochanox.........you crack me up! I could use some advice in the "men" department!!! :)
Ya, they're just like the cable company. They want to keep you and will do whatever it takes. Mine almost ran out and the guy called me. I told him I didn't know, so he offered me the same service for 6 months for $35. I am looking into the 2.50/mn for the Internet/smartphone deal too. It's a good service, just wish the sound quality was better.

My wife saw the reply before I clicked the post button...
she laughed, then gave me a dirty look...hence the "line out"
I didn't want to sound "sexist" and/or offend anyone (you)...

There are any ways to go about it but you should negotiate a lower price. They will negotiate. It's not like they have to lay more cables or launch more satellites if they get more subscribers. They wouldn't have to change anything to sign up the whole continent, except maybe the programming. ::)
After my free three months I'm now on the $20.00 for five months deal, but I don't know if I'll renew it again or not. I had it a few years ago and dropped it because I found myself listening to about four different stations. Plus if you are on a long enough drive and listen to one music station they start repeating the songs. With the Nox I have even less reason to keep it because I can load a stick with all types of music and drive all day without ever hearing the same song twice.
Just hung up with xm and renewed my contract for another year for 71.00 american no credit card auto renewal and no invoice at the end of this contract.
As always when dealing with anyone write down date and time and persons name that you spoke with. I always like to tell them that since they may be recording conversation for quality purpose that I will also be recording...always a moment of silence....
Just never -ever- give them a cc number. "I don't use credit cards" is a good reply. "Send me a invoice".

As I said in a previous post, if the bank your CC is through supports a version of what Bank America calls ShopSafe, sign up for the service and your troubles of giving out your CC number are over.

Right thing to do. They chrage only $2.00 to send you an invoice. My new free trial after a year is even worse. Sometimes it drops when I'm in front of a store. I can't believe that it is dropping more that when I had the 1st 3 month trial

Where do you live??? I have never had any dropouts except when deep in the mountains of West Virginia where the satellite signal is blocked. Maybe a problem with your radio or antenna??

You can also contact XM Radio Listener Care at 1-800-852-XMXM (9696) or at www.gm.xmradio.com. I am glad to hear that you are enjoying the vehicle.

I live in Rockland County NY about 25 miles North of NYC. I only get drops on XM .. My salesman says the he has the same problem with XM when he drives to work. The dealer is about 9 miles from my house, Between the drops and the games they play if you want to cancel I have no intrest. The drops last about 5 seconds or so.
I recently traded in 2010 Nox for a 2011 Nox. Went thru all of the XM registration etc. Wanted to transfer my existing subscription time to the new car/radio but the XM agent wouldn't do it, so I told him to send me a check for the unused portion. After the free trial I'll make another attempt to get the $77.00 deal for a year. If not I will not renew; just not worth the aggravation. Wish XM had people monitoring this forum like Chevy Customer Service folks do!

I just got the $77.00 deal (she called it the ½ off deal), $91.29 with invoice and the royalty fee.
Just be persistent.
