It is useful if on occasion you're one like me that uses the manual shift mode. LSPI isn't supposed to be an issue with the NA engines, but to be sure I use the manual mode when I encounter traffic conditions that may result in engine lugging. And by all means, if you're one that's tempted to turn on that eco switch, take a hammer to it! Just kidding, but you can infer my drift.
