What brand of Vent Visors?

9062 Views 10 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  VRITE2012
I just bought a 2011 GMC Terrain and I am looking for the best type of window vent visors to buy. Looking for an in channel type with a low profile. Any suggestions? I would love to see some installed.

WeatherTech now has 'in channel' visors available for the Terrain front doors. The rears aren't approved for production as yet.

I put them in a few weeks ago and am pleased with WeatherTech's usual quality.

Only quibble was they are the type that uses little 'S' brackets at the rear, and the instructions weren't very clear about how to install them.
I got them in right, but there was a bit of head scratching involved.

I've used their vent shades for years and haven't been disappointed one bit.

On a Nox...These are AVS brand, picked them up when they first came out

The AVS sounds and looks the best so far. Thanks for the pics. Keep them coming. Thanks.
Finally pics where I can see the metallic in the carbon black paint!

Pictures rarely do the color justice...I agree with that :)
I got the AVS. They are in channel. They use 3M grey tape to secure. I wanted in channel as the OEM's mount on the outside with 3M tape and I have chrome door pillats so the outside mounts would rest on the chrome.
Those AVS ones look good. Any wind noise with them?

Nope...Didnt add any wind noise. I've had them for around 9months now w/o issues
Anyone with the AVS vent visors on their Terrain have any issues with the rear window vent fitting? I've read a lot of reviews saying they don't fit properly. Any alternative brand that are known to fit?

EGR would be my first choice. Not a fan of the "step" or lip along the edge on the AVS. I haven't heard any positive feedback on AVS fitment of their in channel. Weathertech does make a nice product but EGR gets the Made in the USA thumbs up!! :thumb:
