I am new to this forum, having just purchased a low mileage used 2006 SRX. I have concerns about oil consumption. The car has 40,000 miles, and uses 2 quarts every 3,000 miles. I have never had a car use this kind of oil, from an Ford Escort with 350,000 miles, to the Ford Explorere I traded in on this with 148,000. I use only Mobil 1 oil and the correct filter. Anyone else ever have this issue?

I have a 2010 SRX Performance model. I am looking forward to purchasing a 2011 SRX Performance Model too. I see there seems to be little activity on ths SRX forum. I hope it picks up momentum when other SRX owners find it.[/color]

Howdy all! I'm Lanny, I bought the wife a new 2011 SRX, and MAN is this car fun!! I did find a defect in the oil pan a week after bringing it home, but our dealer replaced that, gave it the HVAC reprogram, and the new 2011 torque convertor/transmission/turbo reprogram,(this fixes the lag during upshifts with casual acceleration) which made this car a monster! Hope to meet many people, and have a great time!

Hello everyone! I recently purchased a 2011 Cadillac SRX Turbo Premium. Previously, I had a 2007 SRX with the V6 engine. The 2007 was the first Cadillac I ever owned, and I liked the vehicle a lot, but there were a few things that bugged me a little. Like the roof mounted rear wiper controls, the sun visor that did not adjust to the side window, no Bluetooth, somewhat cheap plastic inside, and the not so exciting acceleration unless I really stepped on it. I missed the performance of my 2005 Saab Aero Sportwagon, especially on the highway. I was planning on replacing the 2007 SRX in the spring, but Cadillac kept throwing incentive money at me, so I decided to take the plunge on a new SRX. The only concern was the performance, because I had read that the 3.0L V6 was a bit slow. So I decided to either find a 2011 turbo version or wait for a 2012 with the 3.6. My first choice was the 2011 turbo if I could find one. I located a silver turbo SRX about 50 miles away from my home. I absolutely LOVE this car! The 2.8T is very strong on the highway, and I am experiencing none of the complaints that I read about in some of the professional reviews. I liked the size of the 2007 better, but other than that, I have no complaints. All of the little bugs the 2007 had are fixed in the 2011. This is the best car I have ever owned. I have about 1,800 miles on it now.

New SRX owner here. 2011 AWD Performance purchased July 31. Love it. About 2000 miles and one road trip so far.

The only issue I have is the iPod control. Was much more intuitive in my last vehicle, a GMC Acadia. I started a thread on the topic and hope there is a resolution in sight.

Just wanted to stop by and say hi. I've ordered a 2012 SRX Premium red tint coat with chrome wheels. It maybe on the truck tomorrow. This will be my first SRX but not my first Cadillac. I traded in a 2009 Infiniti FX35 which has been a great car I just wanted something new/different. I'll post a picture when I get it. C.J. McConnell at Thomason McConnell Cadillac has made this purchase very enjoyable. C.J. is a great person to deal with, he has great communications skills. No fast talk with a team of hyped turnover men, just professional honest business like attitude and actions. I sent an email inquiry to 6 Cadillac dealers requesting information and pricing. Only one bothered to call me personally, you guessed it C.J.. Several local dealers didn't even bother to respond, Cantrell Cadillac in Louisville did respond to my email but no personalized call. I've rambled on enough.

Thanks for the invite...just call me Ken. Previously I had leased a 2008 Enclave (took delivery in September '07). When the 4 year lease was up, Buick did not make a smaller SUV than the Enclave, so I switched over to the SRX. I wanted a 2012 (different engine, heated steering wheel, and so on) and only found one dealer out of almost 50 that would even venture to talk to me...Gold Coast in NJ. Guess who got the sale! I special-ordered it in July and took delivery in September...Luxury in red, no other options...it has everything (plus) that I need. Oh, this is my 2nd Caddy...the 1st one was a '55 Fleetwood (bought used in 1965)...sadly, it's long gone.

My daughter bought my wife and I a 2004 SRX with only 73000 miles on it. What a COOL surprise! It has the V8 Northstar, AWD, 8 speaker Bose system, 6 CD player, and most options except moon roof and 3rd rear seat. We still haven't set up our preferences or listened to the srx CD. I have one quick question, can I hook up my Ipod or Zune to this system? Nice to find a Forum for my new to-me SRX Thanks In Advance, michaelanson Ps, my other two cars are VWS, 1957 Oval and a 1965 Beetle given to me by my other Daughter, (49000 original miles)

Hi Everyone, I am a new 2013 SRX owner and this is my first Cadillac. I happened across this forum today and have been browsing. Doesn't seem like there is a lot of recent activity on this forum but there is good info that has been posted that I was able to catch up on.

I figured I'd say "hi" in case there are a bunch of lurkers and hope some recent activity on this forum might encourage more activity.

Either way, I am excited about my new Caddy and looking forward to learning more about it and maybe meeting new people in the process.

Hi all....I'm a new member. I just purchased a 2014 SRX Performance Edition. None available in my local area, so they are shipping one in from Cali. I should take delivery by Saturday...I'm so excited to be a Caddy owner. I already have a 6000 mile round trip planned from Arizona to NY in late July. I'll be towing my Harley back east for my yearly 8 day bike ride with my good friends back there. This new SRX will definitely make that long trip enjoyable. Can't wait!

Well dropped off that noisy Equinox 2013,picked up 2014SRX premium much better ride so far ,had to go to another town for a dealer I could talk to. Now if I can just learn how everything works.
29 may 2015 now almost a year and 7500miles my SRX is doing good nice riding &driving vehicle, gets fair mileage 23mpg at 70 mph. Only gripe is it is noisy ,sounds like wind noise but I think it is really road noise ,comes up from the back some place ,may be though the cabin relief vents behind the rear wheels .I have had the noise go away three times twice on same stretch of road ,but have traveled that same stretch of road many times and get the noise, so I wonder if the cabin air relief valves are not closing right all the time . They say the only way to see them is to remove the rear bumper. bummer big job .The dealer gave me a big song and dance ,about the factory test roads being so smooth that they had no idea the srx was noisy with tire noise . but our highways was rough and made more noise so there was nothing he could do.
