Updating NAV Maps

How does one go about updating the maps on the NAV? I can't seem to find any info on it. There are a ton of errors around here on Staten Island I was hoping that maybe they would have an update on.

AFAIK via USB in the center console.
I was told at the dealership that maps are updated via XM over the air. I didn't get clarification if that was on a schedule or on request or what. I'm not sure at all about the accuracy of that statement. Can anyone else give input?

XM and NAV are 2 differents things, so no they won't be upgraded through the air.

You have to go to the dealer to obtain the updates vis usb or dvd.

If the gps is a garmin or tomtom or something else, the updates maybe available through them directly when available.
I believe they come on DVD, but there currently isn't an update available.

If you know of errors in the maps, you can submit them here:

Not actually. XM is how your NAV can get traffic data. The newer GM Nav systems have a lot more modern abilities, so anything is possible. I'll look/ask around for more input on this...

Traffic Data and GPS/NAV are not the same thing... Ex. : On garmin GPS the traffic receiver is external so there nothing about maps involving with traffic updates.
