Turn Signal Warning

I was driving home from a long trip yesterday and engaged my right turn signal when exiting. The exit was long and the signal was on for a while. All of a sudden in the interior I get a warning chime. I look at the DIC and see an exclamation point and a note that my signal was on. Thought this was kind of funny :D

Nice, thanks for the tip, RNOX!
GM are used to do that, my oldsmobile 1997 was doing that.

I'm happy to learn that the Nox/Terrain have this feature !

That is funny. These vehicles are so "smart", they're almost scary.
Also if you give turn signal stalk a momentary nudge it will blink three times for lane changing.

Same thing happened to me last week, Great for us old guys

Thanks, Rman, I will try it today
I have yet to try it. Today I got a picture in my DIC that my rear heatch was open ::)
Mine gives the 3 blinks for right signal only, not the left. Would be nice if that lane change feature worked right to left as well as left to right. But hell, it's something new I learned about the beast. Thanks guys/gals.

Mine does both sides...

Its hard for the left because you might be pushing too hard on it. We had the same problem but then I just realized that I was pushing it too hard down.
Thanks, I'll try not pushing too hard on the left and see what happens.
Another cool GM thing on the momentary signal for 3 blinks is on vehicles that have a tow/haul mode, like my Traverse or a GM pickup, if you're in tow/haul mode you'll get 5 instead of 3 signals. GM really does think things out fully these days.
^ No, there is a button in certain vehicles called "Tow/Haul" that changes shift patterns and does other things such as add an extra flash to the 'lane change feature'.

It blows me away that people don't notice the lane change feature. It's the first thing I tried when I test drove my Terrain. Had it in my Sierra and LOVE IT.
Well, if you never had it (like me) you really wouldn't know it's there. I did try the left yesterday, by not pushing hard, like was suggested, it worked fine. I don't know if ours has the tow/haul mode, I'm thinking it doesn't. Thanks - this is a GREAT forum!!
^ No, we don't have that button.
I have yet to try this momentary nudge, but I am having difficulty understanding exactly how you are supposed to do this? To turn the signal on you push it up or down...so how do you "nudge" it? Haha this probably sounds ridiculous!
