I want to install a trailer hitch on my 2010 Equinox. I have narrowed my choices down to 2:

Valley 82540
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CBBOMA/ref=ord_cart_shr?ie=UTF8&m=AA40693QO0HDG

Curt 13591
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GQ6LF6/ref=ord_cart_shr?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Any recommendations on which way to go? It will be used primarily for a bike rack. TIA!
Usually they are all made by the same manufacture....the name on them really doesnt matter. Uhaul, Hidden Hitch, Drawtite when I was looking for one for my car where made by the same company, even used the same instructions posted online that had the same typo's

I put on the Curt hitch. Very easy and a clean install. I also used their wiring harness. Very easy.

I just installed a Curt hitch myself on my 10 EQ. My bike racks are for 1 1/4", class two, so that is what I got. stock # 12291. found it on Amazon, free shipping and no tax, comes with pin and ball mount.
kinda tight to get the bolts on, but just six bolts and you are done. all you can see is the receiver.
Uhaul also does this.

I just installed the same Curt from Amazon. Paid $125 and free shipping. I did not get the wiring harness since I am using it for a bike rack and hitch mounted rack.

The hitch looks very nice and is well hidden by the lower bumper cover. It went on with 6 bolts. More bolts are included in the package and some directions for fishing bolts through the frame. None of that is necessary on the 2010 Equinox since all six holes have threads in the frame pieces already.

The Curt looks very nice and the finish is good. You cannot go wrong. I cannot comment on the other hitch you found.

:) I have the hidden hitch mounted on my Equinox and find it to be of good quality and easy to install. This is my second hidden hitch installation and they mount with no problems and fit the vehicles (other hitch was on a 2007 Colorado) .
