Got a phone call from my dealer to inform me that I should do a tire rotation, now that I am approaching 10,000kms (6200miles). Do you guys/gals usually get it done at this interval? I was gonna wait a little longer, so I can also get an oil change done, but that would push me closer to 14 - 15,000kms, since I'm still at 43% oil life. This is for a 2011 fwd with 18" Michellin tires, and I do mostly highway driving (avg 8.3l/100km - 28.4mpg ;D)

I rotate with every oil change. Then again, the oil change place I use has lifetime tire rotate and balance for $80 so I just spend the money once and then it's free every oil change. My last car they were amazed how long my tires lasted when I had some warranty work done just before my warranty expired. They put it to rotating them often so no wear built up on any of them causing other issues down the road including premature wear in one spot.

I change oil at a 10000 km schedule and rotate tires at the same time front to back rotation only.
The tire life is extended by doing this.
