Hi, I think that I have a bad ABS sensor on my Equinox (2011) and want to test them before ordering a new set.

Does anyone know how to test the sensor to see if it is bad? I have a multi-meter and was thinking that they should have a certain ohm range that they operate in, but I have no idea what the range should be.

Thanks,
Scott

I cannot help with the specific ohm values, but how about testing all of them and comparing their readings to one another?

If all but one test the same, that may help determine the problem.

Is the ABS light on? or intermittent? A really cheap scan tool should be able to tell you what code you have it will start with a C if its ABS. I think OReillys or Autozone will scan your vehicle for free, it should help narrow down the problem.

You are supposed to measure the current, a scope would best, but a multimeter would work, the signal should alternate between 4-8mA and 11-16mA as you rotate a wheel.
