I also have a 2022 Terrain and have had good luck with everything from my dealer Banks Cheverolet GMC in Concord, NH. I did have a small leak in the transmission that they noticed several weeks ago when I went in for a standard service appointment. Dropped the Terrain off on Monday and they finished repairing the leak today and did an excellent job and they also provided me with a loaner during the repair. This is my fourth Terrain from the same dealer and I could not be happier with the dealer and the vehicle. It sounds to me that you have done business with a terrible dealer and I can sympathize with you. I would contact GMC directly about the mud flaps and the poor service and I bet they will do something to help you.

Just an update for folks following my thread.
So finally, today was the day I saw some progress.

The sales department of the dealership I got this car from is a total nightmare. They themselves were unaware about the mud flaps.

Well at least they honoured it and ordered the part. Okay. Great. I go on scheduled day, they take the car in and install the mud flaps. Oh, sweet! Finally they’ll give me what I paid for.

Once installed I went outside to see my vehicle and guess what I saw?
Mud flaps in the rear but not in the front!

I went back to the manager and asked him wth is that? He acts like uuuhhhh what… oh… my bad I ordered only rears didn’t ‘knew’ it also got front ones.
I said “you yourself took a scanned copy of my window sticker and it clearly says front and back”.
He said “oh yeah come back next week and i’ll sort that out for you”.

Today was the next week and I finally have them installed, front and back.

The service department manager finally managed to get my garbage driver seat fixed that was making a crinkling noise the second you sat on or moved around. There was no official fix available for the seat problem so they did a hack fix for it.

As for the roof liner creaks and rattles, this is where it gets interesting. The Manager himself claimed that I am not the only one with this rattling roof. He clearly, in his own words said that past 2018 this has been an issue and it’s a big job of dropping the roof down and finding clips that either broken or unclipped. Worst case scenario would be to replace the roof liner completely.

Sucks that GM produces products with garbage quality and then us consumers have to go through this nonsense.

One thing I am thankful of is that I never reacted to the staff in anger or used harsh words like some people would after getting a lemon. At least now the manager is more than willing to fix any and everything.

Happy to see you are making progress, even if it was a long and torturous journey.

Luckily I am not experiencing quality issues on my Nox but I do agree the sales and service departments certainly are on different wavelengths. My salesman was another that seemed to agree with anything I asked, such as fog lights - "of course an RS has them". Well, they don't. At least he tried to use the excuse they were a new model and he made a mistake. Can't fault him there as my Now was the first 2022 the dealer sold.

Service department is another story - sales sold me on the enhanced maintenance package - I am old and figured it was time for me to trust others. Problem was, what sales promised, service did not deliver. I had to ask and argue about every little thing, eventually I went back to the warranty guy and had him confirm my understanding of when things will be done. I wrote an email responding to a survey and the service manager seems to have straightened things out - we'll see.

My issue is I did not cheap out and put up a few bucks up front to have a carefree experience, it has been way short of that. Hopefully things will improve.

I see too much of the excuses you have seen just to shut us up and put us off. Hopefully this improves after politely voicing displeasure. The threat of a bad survey to GM does seem to have the most clout.

@gym_carrey : Check this thread for a possible solution to your "roof liner creaks and rattles"

Thanks for the link.
My headliner creaks as a whole especially front driver and passenger area. It’s more so close to the A-pillar. The second annoying one is from the rear right quarter panel window. It’s like a coin jiggling sound.
The last is from the speakers. Again, coin jiggling sound when volume is at 50%. I know how ANC distorts the sound but it ain’t that.

If you got some time on your hand, I’ve posted a link to the videos where it’s very audible how these creaks and rattles sound like.

Many thanks @Colt Hero

Another day, more bunch of progress.
So I printed the service bulletin you linked and handed it over to the workshop.
The service advisor looked at me like how did this guy source it? Smirked at the paper and said “who gave you this?”
I said “A higher up tech in GM”.
So he said okay I will forward this to the tech looking at your car.

They followed the service bulletin indeed and funny that the service advisor while handing me the car said “there is an update available to that service bulletin as well so we performed those necessary things as well”.

However, not everything was smooth.
They wrecked my right side A-Pillar plastic cover and now it does not line up. Even when I picked up my car from the workshop the A-pillar cover was dangling so I asked them to tighten it up. They did tighten it a little but not enough to perfectly line it up the way it was.

Secondly, that odd loose bolt/coin jiggling sound coming from the rear is still unsolved. Apparently, the whole service team can’t hear it so idk what the deal. At this point, I an fed up of going to the dealership. I am going to tackle these noise issues myself from here on.
I was inclined on using the warranty period to fix this issues to save myself the hassle but at this point I want peace of mind. I want a quiet cabin. I don’t want to drive a rattling matchbox 85kms a day, 6 times a week.

That's thinking on your feet! Good answer!

Can you post a picture?

"loose bolt/coin jiggling sound coming from the rear". In your original post you said this sound was coming from a Driver's Side Door? Do you mean the rear Driver's Side Door? If you're sure the noise is in the Door, then I guess you need to pop off the Door Panel and look inside. Maybe there is something loose in there from the Factory?

I would have been tempted to reply when asked where the TSB was found - I googled it, anyone can do it! Your response probably got you better service though

@Colt Hero
Look at these panels now
Automotive side-view mirror Mirror Hood Automotive tire Automotive design
Wheel Tire Car Vehicle Automotive lighting

As you can see the right one has a significant gap than the left one. If you put your hand on it, that panel will easily move around as well.

The coin jiggling sound is coming from both driver’s door and the rear passenger side as well.
