I just ordered a Terrain 2.4l AWD I wasn't sure which motor to go with.. I'm a guy who likes to buy aftermarket stuff for my cars and I have been reading that the ecotec motor loves to be tuned with some motors up in the 500hp range! Not like I'm going to go all out and make my terrain 500hp but if they will make an exhaust , cold air intake and a programmer for it that would be nice .. I see there are mods for the other versions of this motor so I guess why not this new version. So that is why I picked the 2.4l instead of the 3.0 v6 I figure when the mods do come out I will be right with the 3.0 hp or beat it . Plus the fours are better tuners than sixes ..

Keep in mind that the 2.4 comes with the lighter duty GM 6T45 transmission.
The 3.6 V-6 comes with the more robust GM 6T70 trans.
The GM 6T75 can be had from a Traverse or Acadia in the AWD version for the V-6 only.
Depending on your upgraded horsepower and torque, the transmission will be a weak link in the chain.

You won't find a lot of aftermarket HP parts for our platform. There is a cold air kit from K&N and a exhaust system from Magnaflow, but I think exhaust system was for the V6.
