I have a 2014 Terrain SLE and it says service stability track and then it’ll come on and say service power steering and its electronic power steering. When it does this the transmission sticks in second gear. When you start to leave from the stop it takes a very long time And creeps up to speed. It gets stuck in second gear. You can go about 30 maybe 40mph if you’re lucky but it never shifts out of second gear. Then you turn the car off for about 30-40 minutes and everything is back to normal. Any suggestions would be appreciated I cannot figure this out .

Your vehicle is likely going into "limp in" mode to restrict the speed you can drive it.
Have your Terrain scanned for trouble codes and fix that problem first.
Limp in mode allows you to drive home or to a service center without towing.
After the repair your transmission will probably return to normal.

Codes are clear but it randomly still sticks in 2nd gear. I’m lost.

@Owmarrr : we haven't seen @MJ32 in almost a year ... and this was his only Post!

Or, are you @MJ32 ?

If not, have you gone through the "exact same things" mentioned above (that were suggested to MJ32)?
