Has anybody put stripes on their new Terrain? Am thinking maybe of putting some on when I get mine. How about any other graphics? Any pics would be helpful. I think stripes can add a nice look to a vehicle, used to be almost all vehicles came with stripes now you hardly see any.

My GMC dealer pinstripes all their vehicles, whether you want it or not. They told me they would remove it if we didn't want it.

I thought pinstripes were pretty much a thing of the past, but maybe not. The pinstripes on the Terrain we saw were pretty nice. "Terrain" in a script font is at the end of the pinstripe at the rear of the Terrain. The pinstripes were not bold and you cold almost miss them if you didn't focus on them. It does make the Terrain a little bit unique.

My wife likes them, but I would probably not want it. It's going to be her Terrain, so I guess her vote wins. What about dry wax building up and showing along the edges of the pinstripes?

shouldnt have a real issue...they are thin enough to where your MF towel, or pad should buff it all out/off.....

You jazzed it up be covering up the nice chrome around the windows, then added this big red stripe all along the side like it was sideswiped...

^ agreed. This is 2010. Pinstripes have no place on modern vehicles.

The blue SLT-2 with the red stripe looks cheap. Just IMHO and to each his/her own.

Since the side of the Terrain is just a big slab with no real contour it does need something to break up the fridge on wheels look IMO.

However, I would never put on the 10.00 roll on pinstripe tape as shown on the blue Terrain or that most dealers would install.

Mine were hand drawn and is very subtle. The thickest line almost matches the body color with a black line inset and a very thin red line underscoring. Getting the hand drawn you can control the thinness or thickness and there is no way for wax to build up.

Personally, I am glad I got the SLT-1/SLT-2 instead of the SLT-2. Those chrome mirrors, door handles and gas filler cap cheapen the cars look. It's like you went crazy at the accessories aisle at Pep Boys.

I'll take my SLT-2 chrome any day. Take a look at a Sierra SLT or Denali, Avalanche LTZ or even Escalade. Chrome door handles, mirror caps, grilles, etc. If you think those vehicles look like they have had Pep Boys (whatever that it) parts slapped on, you should give your head a shake.

While you're at the pinstripers, might as well have them stencil your and your wife's name above your body-coloured door handles lol

Yesterday I started payng attention to vehicles with or without pinstripes. I was surprised to see so many cars/SUVs/trucks with pinstripes. I never noticed the pinstripes until I started looking for them. However, I still prefer not to have them.

I'll take the LTZ 'Nox with chrome any day, too. My wife and I parked about 3 stalls away from another Mocha Steel 'Nox that didn't have the chrome package. It gave me an opportunity to look at both styles nearly side by side. Although the other 'Nox looked nice, it just didn't have that extra upscale look to it. I do have to draw the line at the chrome gas door. I think that looks out of place.

To those of you who strongly voiced your dislike regarding red pin strips on my blue terrain, i have to say that each individual is entitled to their own opinion. However, this is my vehicle and I happen to think that the red pin stripe sets off the red of the wheels and the red stitching on the interior. I did not mean to offend so many people but was simply responding to a previous post.

That's all well and good... it is after all, a free country. You have to remember this is an internet forum, and as such you have to be prepared to accept criticism and other people's opinions/comments in general. You will agree with some folks and not others but that's just the nature of the beast. If people get offended easily, maybe internet forums like this one aren't the place for them to hang out.

rickbb63, I'm interested in seeing some pics of your Mocha Steel 'Nox with brown stripes! Nice color choices, btw.
