I installed the Thule universal flat top snow carrier 91725 on my equinox (with the crossbars that came with the cargo package). Much to my dismay, the crossbars could not be separated far enough to hold my snowboard from either side of the bindings, so I had to put on in front and one in the middle. I made this trip once and my board held up fine, but I felt a little uncomfortable and would much rather have either side of the carrier on the outside of the bindings holding the board in place. Anyone else encounter this problem or have any suggestions for how to overcome it?

I have an 05 Equinox and have the same issue. I don't think it's going to cause a problem, although I agree it's a poor design. GM should have allowed the traction bars to slide all the way over the sun roof.
