I recently was involved in a minor collision (the other persons fault), prior to this i had booked my vehicle into the dealer becasue i was getting a sparatic message on the DIC saying Service Air Bag, it seemed random and would appear for several seconds at a rate of a few times a day to none at all. My car is finally finished at the body shop getting repaired and i called the dealership and the service tech said the air bag repair was a part of a recall. I never heard anything about this until now. Has anyone else had any expirience with this?

And if anyones wondering about the collision, some lady in a Suzuki took a corner to fast for the conditions and slid into my lane, i pulled right off the road to avoid her going into a snowbank and she still managed to hit me in my rear left door, 4000$ in damage. The rocker panel ripped off and there was some denting. Her car was a write off though.

To my knowledge (and Google's) I don't believe there is an air bag hardware recall. I did find one relating to the PPS system, and another involving the computer module. Next time you speak with them see if you can get the recall number. Thanks for the heads up and glad you're ok!
