Hi, I have a 2013 Equinox and want to know the Torx bit size for the seats. As well, from my understanding, I am able to simply tilt the seat forward. I don't want to actually remove the seats, I just need to be able to clean the carpet in those so dirty, but so impossible to get to areas next to the seats. I'm concerned about the air bag sensor. Am I able to disconnect it? Should I simply disconnect the battery? Thanks.

Yes, disconnect the negative battery cable to kill the Air Bag System.
Unplug all electrical connectors to the seat motors.
You might also have a Memory Seat Module depending on your trim level.
Remove seat belt parts as necessary

To remove the front seats move the seats all the way forward.
Remove the two rear bolts.
The seat tracks split, half stays with the seat and half stays bolted to the floor.
The front of the seat "hooks" into the part that is bolted to the floor.
Tip the seat assembly forward to unhook the front of the seat.

The torx bolt looks like it holds the lower track to the floor.
You may not have to remove this bolt, hard to tell without doing it.
This is how it is for my 8 way power seats, do you have that option also?
