Hello,

I have an 2010 Equinox, not quite a week old. Is it a good idea to Scotchguard the interior of the vehicle?
I know sometimes manufacturers will already have a fabric protectant on the cloth fabric.
The seats are of the premium cloth....dark gray/black with that a hint of red in the threading.

All my previous car, I went to the store and bought a can of Scotchguard fabric protector and did the seats myself, you'll save hundreds of dollars. And DON"T buy any rust proofing or undercoating service.

I bought 2 cans of Scotchguard but only used 1. I treated the seats and carpet from front to back twice. It worked! Left a small piece of chocolate on the seat (wifes side :>) ) and sure enough a big brown smear. Used a quick spray of Tough Stuff spot carpet cleaner and it came out without a trace.
