I have a 2016 Equinox. I noticed rusting on the bottom of driver's side door. No other rust throughout vehicle. Unfortunately, the 3 years/36000 miles has expired. Don't think a 4 year old car should have any rust! Any one have similar problems?

Common problem. Talk to your dealer about it. It may be covered under an extended warranty.

Mine has that problem. When I started to remove the rust I noticed that there didn't seem to be any primer under the paint and the paint was just flaking off. My passenger side door is now doing the same thing. GM says its a lower door seam sealer failure and is not a rust thru issue. They have a special tool to open the seam and procedures to de rust and reseal the seam. Then close it back up with another special tool and repaint the door bottom. So no warranty here but in Canada, GM has a service bulletin on it and I have heard some get repairs from them.
I will use POR 15 and redo the seams myself.
