Road Trip App

For those of you that have an iPhone, iTouch or iPad there is an app available called Road Trip.

It's pretty cool and keeps track of your Mileage, MPG's, Expenses, Services and more.

Example: after you fill your gas tank enter the mileage and gallons, price and grade of the fuel and it will keep a running total of your MPG's for each tank and an overall average along with how much you spend on fuel. You can also keep track of any expense related to the vehicle like Accessories (floor mats, mudguards, etc.) Oil Changes, well, you get the picture.

I was actually surprised to find that my actual MPG (the app divides the miles by the gallons) were higher than the average shown on the DIC.

Anyway, check it out. It's $4.99 but there is a lite version that is free that you can try and if you decide to upgrade to the full version it will automatically import all of your entered data into the new version.

Just FYI for those who may read this and have 2010 or have not read other threads - it seems like GM adjusted the way 2011 calculates mileage - it's much more acurate now and almost always pessimistic where as 2010 was always too optimistic.
I use VehiCal - Car Expense Management app.
Works good for me.

You may also want to check out aCar for android. Very good reviews and also helps with maintenance records and such.
