Now ... what's so different about replacing a CV Axle on these vehicles? Isn't it still the same thing (this is a generic procedure, from memory):

1.) Remove the Axle Nut
2.) Remove the Wheel/Tire
3.) Remove the Brake Assembly (Caliper and Bracket w/pads)
4.) Remove the Disc
5.) Detach the Tire Rod and Ball Joint(s) ... using the Ball Joint Removal Tool (make sure you whack the Knuckle with a Ball Peen Hammer beforehand, or you might destroy the Ball Joint Tool!)
6.) Push the Axle's Splined End through the Hub/Knuckle Assembly (5-jaw puller?)
7.) Pull the Axle out from the Transmission End

Then there is typically a Circlip of some kind on the Transmission End of the CV Axle that should 'click' when you push the new Axle into the Transmission Case. Probably supposed to replace that Axle Nut with a new one.

What's different about the procedure on these vehicles?

Also, would you please update your vehicle details?

Here's a link on how to do it:
