I recently bought the Terrain it's the SLE-1 model and want to change the factory stereo that comes with it to a in-dash navigation system something more like the the SLT-1 & 2 models I believe its a pioneer. The problems that I'm having is I can only go through the dealership if I go anywhere else it would void my warranty. In my vehicle it has a compartment door right above the stereo. I know that part can be replaced to the exact same cover that is feat. in the SLT models but not sure where to order the parts and it seems that there is no dash-kits or harness for this vehicle as well as very limited accessories for this car. Please help!!

The easier route may be to sell vehicle and buy one equipped to your liking. It will be difficult and expensive to change over to NAV after the fact.

A good alternative is to buy a Garmin or TomTom GPS. I have one of each so I didn't order the Nav in my Nox.

I once heard from someone that it will not void your warranty if the place is licensed to install radios or whatnot. Worth checking out to see if that is the case.

magnusson-moss act..... it wont void your whole warranty.....only if the part you installed can be found to be the cause of the the problem at hand, IE, your radio has nothing to do with your rear suspension, so it wont void the warranty.....

Do a search. There are multiple threads on this already.

These vehicles have an integrated centre stack so changing any part of it to anything else will be a challenge.
