Lost confidence in it - not sure if it was "slanting down" from the factory or my use of it was making it bend downwards. I am pretty careful of tonque weight so it wasn't me. I think / hope.
Anyway, had it replaced with a 2" and am happy so far. $165 from U-Haul in Canada and 1/2 hour labour [took him an hour with all the crap on the frame from 3 years of driving...lol].

I used it a lot this winter to transport snowmobiles and ATV's to dealers for work. Road salt country. But I did not take the hitch out of the receiver week to week [the 1.25 guy]. The installer needed to use his male lift to get into the female receiver to support the removal and asked me to unlock the hitch so he could pull it out. Ya think? The key would not budge, even though there was a cover over the keyhole all winter. Sprayed a bunch of lubricants into the hole but no go. Finally told him to use pliers to turn the key, and yup, key broke.

He got the old unit off with the hitch still in and I kept it to try to sell at some point. But I have a hitch in there that has a broken key inside it.

How do I get the lock off with a broken key in it?

I also have a lock on the trailer box that has the same issue from salt I believe - but that one does not have a broken key in it - key won't turn it and every additive I have tried still won't let the key open it.

to prevent a frozen lock, i usually test the lock and spray lube it a few times during the winter.

best way to remove it is to cut it.

only option is to cut it off. i have done that a few times for people. got to take it off and lube it a few times a year. i have seen receivers totally rusted solid into the hitch and cant be removed even with the pin out.
