Anyone have any luck taking these off?
Doesn't seem like a regular sticker label.
Any tips or how-tos would be appreciated.
Thanks...
I took ours off. Heat the sticker up with a hair dryer and peal it off. I had to iron the visor to get out some wrinkles after I pealed the stickers off. It looks great with them gone though ;D

Wow, great tip! I really didn't think that was possible! Might have to do this myself!

Wow, that looks great! Were those custom made for that application or do they just happen to fit perfectly? Wonder if they have Equinox/Terrain models as well... in the end I'll probably end up just removing mine depending on cost of these.

Here is the link...

http://www.streamlinedesign.com/automotive/visors.html

If you look about 1/2 way down the page...you'll see a section...

← Now available in 2007 and up, size: 8.75” wide x 1 7/8” tall
$15.00 Pair: Standard colors
+$5.00: Shade Shift colors

In that section the drop down menu suggests they already have an Equinox LT sticker

Now the disclaimers...

I have NOT measured the NOX/Terrain visor stickers for size
Rich the owner of the business is a great guy and has made custom one off designs for me in the past.
The prices for the one off are comparable to his "stock items"
I am sure he would make an Equinox/Terrain sticker and would even have interest in promoting on this site...but that part is DEFINATELY A MATTER FOR THE ADMINS

I would highly recommend you contact Rich...and now that I see he has what appears to be the smaller size...

If you don't...I will... and probably will anyway on Monday

Can't find my stupid tape measure or I would go measure it. $15 seems reasonable (shipping costs?). Would be nice if they offered a few different styles/designs. Ultimately I may end up just removing mine, depending on the Equinox decal design. Thanks for the info, I'm sure more than a few members would be interested in these for their Terrain/Nox!

I know "fireman" said his turned out ok after ironing...and I know of some Av owners who did ok removing them as well...

But the vast majority of those who tried to remove them failed to end up with a pristine visor...

Just an FYI

One more point...at the time of resale or trade-in...you might want to consider removal as not prudent...whereas a vinyl cover-up can just be removed to restore to "stock"

YMMV

Excellent points. I would like to avoid screwing those up, or impacting resale value (especially in terms of missing 'safety features/information'). Check with your boy Monday if you will sir and let us know, thanks!

The only downside to decals is summertime heat. I bought them to cover my Solstice visor warning labels...and they did well for the first year...but the second summer they came loose on the corners and began to peel up and curl. I re-glued them twice...but they just wouldn't stay glued down(didn't want to use a permanent glue like SuperGlue). However...my Solstice is a vert which is also exposed to the sun.

These are not decals in the sense I think you mean...or maybe they are

All his vinyl is exterior grade (whether used interior or exterior)

I have several of his graphics on another Chevy inside and out...they have been on for 7 years no issues...it is black and the paint gets H O T
much more so than visor fabric on a vert

Over the years I have seen HUGE differences between vinyl quality between graphic suppliers...and will make a very generalized statement that anything on EBay...sux

Streamline Design hands down is the best I have ever seen / used

I'm not trying to change your mind...or...promote his products
I'm just saying I've seen the worst in the market place...these are NOT them

Wow..sorry if I seemed to upset your applecart..!...that you assume that I must have cheapy eBay decals and that my vert visors are fabric. Neither is true.
I was posting my experience of what can...and,in fact, did happen in my case. Decals do bond better to a smooth..even slick finish such as paint..or even glass over the long haul.
I am sure that you have had no issues...and I'm not trying to change anyone's mind either. I believe you. Sounds like they would work just fine...

I hear ya, there is alot of people out there that will pass on a nice clean and well taken care of vehicle because the airbag stickers are missing ;D
Come on now ::)

Just heat them up and they will peal right off. Heat them back up and you can reinstall. Piece of cake! ;)

Guess I'm just erring on the side of caution. Didn't you remove your's? What setting did you use on your iron to remove them? Did you use a bit of steam? How long did it take to get them to the right temperature? Sorry for all the questions but I'm not noted for my ironing skills and don't want to end up damaging something. (five bucks says I burn myself anyways) Thanks.

I set my iron on the lowest temp that would make steam. The wrinkles were not that bad but I knew they were there. The iron took them out and you can't even tell there were stickers there. I even did my vette a few years ago. Those stickers were on there over 9 years before I got them off.
The hair dryer works great. Just heat the sticker up enough to soften the glue. Once the glue is soft they peal right off. if you want to reuse the stickers someday put them on a smooth flat dry surface to adhere to till you need them again. I piece of plexglass would work awesome.
It is a piece of cake to remove these so don't waste your money on decals. I love the clean look. :)

IceMan,
I apologize.
After rereading that post...it didn't come out or convey what I wanted it to.
I think I need to slow down and reread before I click on that "post" button
I am sorry
