I have a 2011 Cadillac SRX that is now returning to the dealership for the 4th time for the right rear axle seal. They lubricated it the first time, did nothing the second time, replaced it the 3rd time and now they tell me GM has a "new improved" seal but they somehow have to get their hands on one. After a call to Cadillac Customer Service, I received a call from the dealership indicating that American Axle will be meeting me to look at my vehicle. The vehicle makes an annoying whining/scraping/squeaking sound that is intermittent not only in sound but in pitch as well. The best time to hear it is when driving in town or in a neighborhood where the sound bounces off buildings. Am I the only one experiencing this problem?

lilchel,

I apologize for the problems you have been experiencing with your new vehicle. Since you have spoken with Cadillac Customer Service could you please private message me with your case number? I would like to look further into your situation.

Thank you,
Caron, Cadillac Customer Service
