Radio Question

I am just discovering what all my Terrain can do and it is amazing but I have a problem that I can not seem to find the answer to. I probably am just blind or dumb.

I have the Nav system with all the bells and whistles. I have figured out how to use it with my i pod and how to load my audio files on it from a thumb drive. Very simple. :D My problem comes when listening to some of them.

I listen to Podcast too, actually more than music. Some of my favorite poscasts are two hours long, such as the Tech Guy, Leo Leporte. Now the problem comes up. I can load them and easily see them and select them but if I listen to a half hour or any part of the podcast and then want to stop and listen to some music I have to start the two hour podcast at the beginning again. Now that is nuts. I am sure there is some way to save my position or to be able to fast forward and reverse to find the spot I was at on the Podcast when I want to listen to it again. :D With a 2000 dollar system they could not have forgotten that! Or did they? Please tell me I am stupid and bail me out on this one :D

We have the same problem with long song from usb with the audio system without nav....

I think it's the resume function that is messed up...

Maybe an update to the radio firmware will follow soon :) I hope so !

Thanks for the reply. I am gonna squall like a mashed cat to the dealer, once I confirm I am not just stupid. It doesn't seem possible that others do not listen to Podcast and have the same problem
I load my hard drive with podcasts also. Leo Leporte is a great guy, I remember him on TV, he was very informative.
It seem that in the beginning I had the same problem with starting over, but now when I go from a podcast to the radio, then later go back to the podcast, it resumes where it should.
I will play around with it tomorrow to see if that is what it does all the time now.
MY MAIN BEEF IS THE FAST FORWARD IS NOT VERY FAST. Most fast forwards will speed up when you hold down the button, like your bedside alarm clock when changing the time. But the Nox fast forward stays the same slow speed. It takes 13 seconds holding it down to advance 3 minutes, which is a long time when you are driving.
Overall I am very happy with the Nox and the NAV system. There are just a couple of improvements that should occur.
I too have the nav system and listen to TWIT via my iphone, but it always resumes back at the same spot, I havent tried using a Thumb drive or the HDD.

I have been messing with it and found I have to hold it one minute for ten minutes of fast forward of the program. That does not seem like much but I was 70 minutes into the show and hit the wrong button on my steering wheel and had to go back and hold that button down for 7 full minutes!! I now have a sore middle finger :D They sure ought to update that but I do not know where to complain :D
I played around with my Hard Drive today. Here is what I found:

If you are listenting to a podcast, which is just a .mp3 file, and you turn off your car, it should return to where you were.
If you are podding (is that a word?) and you change to the radio, and then back, it should be where you were.
IF YOU CHANGE THE PODCAST TO SOMETHING ELSE ON THE HARD DRIVE, THEN BACK TO THE PODCAST, IT STARTS OVER.

If you touch the wrong button, like I did this morning, then it will start over. There are maybe five wrong buttons that you can touch.
Starting over would not be such a big deal if the Fast Forward was not such a slug. I did have a short podcast, and I noticed that the fast forward was going faster, so it is a percentage of the total.
GM, MAKE THE FAST FORWARD INCREMENTALLY FASTER THE LONGER YOU HOLD DOWN THE BUTTON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is exactly what I found and there ought to be someone we can contact to let them know it is a problem. The fast forward is better than nothing but man, my finger gets sore and it is dangerous to be holding it for 7 or 8 minutes while driving. I told my dealer but that is like telling my mother-in-law. Thanks for the help.
