Here's how I would have figured it if sticker was $29,555 AND it was NEW and not a demo.

( 3,500) Alero TI
( 1,000) Loyalty
( 500) Auto Show
( 250) Chevy Rebate
$21,595 + Taxes and fees
Looking at tagged vehicle on the GM Family first site, the discount for an Equinox with 3,900 miles on it should be about 14% off of MSRP. Then subtract other elgible rebates and offers. OF course then there would be no trade in and you would have to sell the Alero yourself. But with the info you gave here, this is how I would view the deal.
