Well, it looks like your OTD price included the $3,500 for the TI 2002 Alero? Was the $22,700 including other fees and taxes? Hard to tell,.

Here's how I would have figured it if sticker was $29,555 AND it was NEW and not a demo.

*29,555 MSRP
( 2,710) GM Emp Discount of aprx. 8.3%
$26,845
( 3,500) Alero TI
$23,345)
( 1,000) Loyalty
( 500) Auto Show
( 250) Chevy Rebate
$21,595 + Taxes and fees

Looking at tagged vehicle on the GM Family first site, the discount for an Equinox with 3,900 miles on it should be about 14% off of MSRP. Then subtract other elgible rebates and offers. OF course then there would be no trade in and you would have to sell the Alero yourself. But with the info you gave here, this is how I would view the deal.
Getting that kind of money on a trade in for your car is a score alone if you ask me.

Picked up a 2013 Equinox LTZ AWD w/ 51k miles for $17,500

Traded in wife's 2001 Pontiac Grand Am for $1200

Dealer gave us 1.99% rate for 6 years (would have been same rate for 5) so we opted on the 6 to give us more flexibility on paying extra

It's an AWD I4, leather, power everything, remote start, lane departure, front crash detection. Only thing it didn't have was sunroof (wife never used it in her Grand Am so nothing missed on this).

new Equinox owner!

This is what I paid:

2015 Equinox LS - no option

*25,395 MSRP
( 1,750) GM Bonus cash rebate
( 4,645) Dealer rebate
$19,000 + Taxes and fees

Pretty low for a 2015 but it seems they are eager to get them off of their lot! This was in the DFW area, Tarrant county

Well I am two days into my ownership.. bought a used Equinox
2011 Equinox 92000 miles interior in excellent shape exterior.. a few scratches and a couple really small paint chips where it looks
like rocks hit the hood (very end where it meets grill. ) the spots are less than a quarter inch round. Im gonna shoot some clear on them.
1-owner with regular servicing according to carfax
Paid $9281 or 10400 out the door
Sticker was 14k
internet or asking was 10500
They kept stalling at 9800
I gave them a final offer of 10400 out the door

Its an LS with the 2.4ltr 182hp engine its an automatic but not really sure about any tranny specs...
Nothing fancy as far as options.. seems pretty plain.

No gps ... do they make an aftermarket one that can be added

Car Dealership incl city/state- Rod Hatfield Chevrolet in Lexington, KY
Model Year- 2010
Trim Level- LTZ AWD w/ 2.4L
Miles-72,308
Paid- $11,900
Vehicle has navigation, backup camera, dvd player, remote start, heated seats, 17" Aluminum wheels and a few other things. The only features that I can think of that it doesn't have is a sunroof or block heater. Was previously one owner and came with detailed maintenance logs (not just car fax, owner kept all receipts). We love it.

I would say that you did excellent.

Does this come with the BtB Warranty starting at your purchase date/miles, or when the car went into service ?

We checked with a few different local dealers who couldn't touch the price; drove an hour to Mountain View Chevy and left with the deal that was promised over the phone!

This is our second Chevy (after our Volt).

$3,900 "Dealer Discount" is a huge amount. . . especially on a $26,000 LS.

I won't take credit for hard-nosed negotiations! In fact, the transaction took about 2 hours, and a chunk of that was getting the car detailed and gassed up.

It was a $19.9k "ad car" special. Stacking the Volt loyalty pushed it from a good deal to a great deal.

If you do a broad search on cars.com you can find a few select dealers doing something similar.
