Hi, I am new to this forum thing and I'm not sure I'm even posting this correctly! I am looking for some input on a used chevy equinox that I am interested in purchasing. It's a 2013 AWD 2LT with leather seats, sunroof and 6 cylinder. It has 26,000 miles and they are asking $28,075. I am curious how much I should be able to negotiate down on this vehicle. Any input would be appreciated! Thank you.

Seems high with that mileage, but I would start your own thread for this discussion.

Does seem high, I've been checking the trade in value for my 2012 2 LT, V6, leather, sunroof, FWD with 21,000 miles onit and KBB, NADA is listing it at roughly 21 - 22,000 dollars. The difference is the AWD and I don't know how much that would increase the price.

So i Finally got one.

On 4/27/14 I got a Metallic Blue 2010 Equinox 2LT. It has the fog lamps, backup camera, power moonroof, Cloth seats and Auto Climate control.

The car came with 96,069 Miles.

It was listed on the site for $16,000. I got out the door with taxes, fee's and plates for $12,100.

I fell like i got a good deal. Extremely happy with the car. Just needs some touch up paint on some scratches from normal driving.

Keep an eye out RE the timing chain issues. There is an extended warranty on the 2010 for this issue beyond 5/100k.

Does anyone know of any upcoming GM rebates and other incentives in December through February?

I bought my black 2015 Equinox 1LT V6 at the end of a month (12/29/14), at the end of the year (2014), on a rainy Mon. morning. I guess they were willing to deal and I feel good about the deal I got. Sticker was $29,715 and I was able negotiate down to $24,338. I then had a $3589 GM Master Card rebate to use, so I was able to pick it up for around $20,800 and not put any money down. After tax, tag, title, fees, etc., I drove it off the lot for $23,004 and got 1.95% financing through my credit union for 60 months. I like the 301 HP V6 and the deal I got!!!!

For a breakdown on how I negotiated my deal, I describe it in Reply #8 in this thread:

Well, with a GM employee discount is seems an ok deal. There was supposed to be a a $1,000 GM card top off as well. of you have one of those.

So the price you got seems about the same as if you bought a tagged vehicle from the GM company driven fleet.

Hi, thank you for the feedback Jaytee2014. Unfortunately I do not have a GM card, so no additional discount. How much would you have offered max?

Well, it looks like your OTD price included the $3,500 for the TI 2002 Alero? Was the $22,700 including other fees and taxes? Hard to tell,.

Here's how I would have figured it if sticker was $29,555 AND it was NEW and not a demo.

*29,555 MSRP
( 2,710) GM Emp Discount of aprx. 8.3%
$26,845
( 3,500) Alero TI
$23,345)
( 1,000) Loyalty
( 500) Auto Show
( 250) Chevy Rebate
$21,595 + Taxes and fees

Looking at tagged vehicle on the GM Family first site, the discount for an Equinox with 3,900 miles on it should be about 14% off of MSRP. Then subtract other elgible rebates and offers. OF course then there would be no trade in and you would have to sell the Alero yourself. But with the info you gave here, this is how I would view the deal.
