Has anybody been able to program the power rear liftgate to a height other than the full or 3/4 position as stated in the owners manual?

Yes, set the dial to 3/4, open the liftgate, manually move it to location you want it to stop at by hand, then hold the close button on the liftgate itself until you hear a beep in about 2, 3 seconds. Next time you open it, it should go to that height. If it doesn't I'd take it to the dealer and point to them how it's supposed to work as mentioned in the manual as well as quick start guide.

Power Liftgate 3/4 mode: to program the liftate opening height-turn the liftgate switch to either the max, or the 3/4 mode position and power open the liftgate. Stop the liftgate movement at the desired height by pressing any liftgate switch. Manually adjust the liftgate position if required. Press and hold the button on the liftgate adjacent to the latch until the turn signals flash and a beep sounds to indicate that the new setting is recorded. When power opened with the 3/4 mode selected, the liftgate stops at the new set position.georgi55 said:

They had too much mambo jumbo in this manual. Why do they have to say "either the max or the 3/4 mode position"? Just say 3/4 and save hassle. Then "the button on the liftgate adjacent to the latch"? Where the hell is that? Just say liftgate close button.
Edit: And yes it does work, I use 3/4 every time I'm in the garage. One thing that would have been nice is to be able to select how much it opens when using the remote, or use the radio settings to change so the remote is either always full, always 3/4, or whatever the switch is inside the car. My scenario is that every time I use the remote I'm walking towards the car outside and I'd use remote to open it so I'd want it full, and when I open it inside my garage garage I'd open it using the button on the liftgate itself when I'm near by. Finally if I'm opening it in underground parking or unfamiliar garage I'd do it manually anyway to avoid any mishaps.

Many times, these folks that write technical manuals (which I'm sure they have good intentions), need to "dumb it down" somewhat.
Most of us don't want to spend time reading a manual and a picture is worth 1000 words.

8) BTW, our remote does seem to mimic the setting inside the vehicle, i.e. if the switch is at 3/4 inside the vehicle, the remote opens the lift gate to 3/4 height, then we manually open it if need be, not sure if that is what you're describing, georgi55?

Are you saying that after you set the new position, opening the liftgate with the remote will bring the height to 3/4 or max anyway?
The manual states: "When power opened with the 3/4 mode selected, the liftgate stops at the new set position." Is this wrong?

I was just commenting that it would have been nice if there is a way to force Max from remote. If I leave dial at 3/4 and open with remote it opens to 3/4 so I have to push it up manually to max to not hit my head (I'm 6'3).

Maybe the iPHONE and ANDROID apps will have selection for 3/4 or full?
Hopefully, one of the app coders is thinking of this idea as well!
