Here's mine...

I am guessing its too much trouble to buy in the Us? I know a lot of people that go over seas to buy VW and BMW maybe even Mercedes saving a ton of cash while also getting a vacation in the mean time.... so basically from what it sounds like if a vehicle was transported from a Michigan plant you are paying the same price as that for even the locally built vehicles...mmarges said:Man do we ever get raped here in Canada. When you compare the above Canadian/US invoices and furthermore the Chevrolet .com (US) and Chevrolet .ca (Canada) websites, you see that US customers get the totally tricked out LTZ with navigation for almost what we pay for a stripped down 1Lt.
And what's with our delivery/destination charge being $1350 and only $745 in the US? These vehicles are made in Ontario, Canada. Darn, I live only 70km from the plant...wish I could go pick one up off the line and save the $1350.
Oh, and the icing on the cake for us Canadians...on the grand total invoice price....add an additional 13% sales tax, and $100 air conditioning tax
In other words....the V6, AWD, LTZ with the additional options of navigation and a sunroof will come too approx. $42,000........oh and don't forget to bend over and take the additonal 13% sales tax up the behind.
Therefore, with the addition of an administration fee the above vehicle would require a cheque of approx. $48,000 to get it off the lot.
Don't Cadillac Escalades go for around that in the US? I at least imagine you could drive away with the SRX for that much.
Think Imp. gal vs US gal. Approx 3.73L in a US gal and 4.54L in an Imp. gal. Larger gallon=more miles per the gallon. That's why Canadian vehicles always show more MPG than US vehicles.dustin10nox said:I am more curious what the deal is about 31mpg city and 46mpg highway on the above post....Hows that possible..No A/C or what...
You also forgot the tire tax on five tires. Yes sir the spare is also taxed. Then they put the GST and PST on top of that so your being taxed on the tax. :mmarges said:Oh, and the icing on the cake for us Canadians...on the grand total invoice price....add an additional 13% sales tax, and $100 air conditioning tax

That just helps stick it in a little deeper so it will take about a month before you heal up and can have a crap again.
