Thoughts or pictures of where you'd pin stripe the Equinox along its sides? I'm thinking just below the window trim, roughly horizontal, starting and ending about an inch within each lamp assembly. OR sorta follow that line along the door handles?

Camera doesn't do justice. Probably just pixialting. I Just tried to follow the curved line on the side panels then straight across the back.
Looks really nice :thumb: :thumb:

I started at about 2" from front lamp and followed the body line to the rear of the back door window then curved it up about 2 1/2 " bringing both ends to a point.
Pictures please...

Pressure washer took it off? My grandpa ( I am 44) used to paint 'em on cars by hand. Of course in the day he also used to hand paint store front windows with business name info and what was on sale.

When I purchased my Equinox it already had pin stripes. I assume the dealer added these. I've attached pictures.

I like the placement of these stripes better than the ones on the black vehicle.. The ones on the black vehicle seem to break up the bodylines all in the wrong place...JMHO

I bought a Hyundai several years ago that had hand painted pinstripes. The dealership had some local guy do it and was one of their add-ons that they put on every car on their lot. It looked good on that car and never came off. I have seen several Terrains with Pinstripes such as the ones that are on 2011LTZ's equinox, but they say Terrain or GMC at the rear fender. They look good too.

Doogr --> that looks good. What did you do it with?
Thanks. I know not everyone going to think the same.
They were just the double pin-stripe sold at Canadian Tire. Way more tape than you'll need and about $5.

I had thought about a straight line like on the red Nox but it was really hard to get the line perfectly straight front to back. At least following the curve on the panel gave a point of reference . Just kept it between the 2 stripes as I went. The ends I cut the centre out and criss-crossed them to make a point.
I'm not an artist so I took the easy way.

I was at the dealership yesterday. I decided to walk around and look at the Terrains on the lot while I was waiting. Almost every Terrain on the lot had pin striping added by the dealer. They were all very simple, duplex stripes in a complimentary color running from the front fender, along the top of the body line and stopping at the back.

I also noticed that each of the cars that had these stripes also have a sticker next to the window sticker that said something like "dealer installed custom graphics - $159". I laughed out loud. If I was buying one today, I would refuse to pay for them, as I did not ask for it. I really wonder what the dealer would do if you insisted that they be removed...would they still charge for the "custom graphics" and/or would they charge you extra for the removal? :banghead:

My dealer puts on a DNA etch that labels the body parts and has stickers on the major pieces. When writing the sales order the salesman put on a $150 charge. I asked that it be taken off nad he did it immediately.

They are either going to give it free, discount it or make you pay the $159 for the stripes that cost them next to nothing

My dealer tried to sell me a blinking brake light module for $159. He kept coming down in price and I kept saying NO ! When he finally said "free" and I still said NO. He was flabbergasted and couldn't understand why I didn't want a blinking third brake light everytime I hit the brakes :eek:hno:
