Now that I (and the Terrain) will be in SC and FL for a while, I would like to take my Pug with me to the beach. However I would like to keep the mess from his sandy paws in the back of the vehicle. Has anyone installed a pet barrier in the back of their Terrain? If so, make and model please......

you need a barrier for a pug?

best and easiest way would to put a crate in the back, and go to a carpet store and either buy a sample piece of carpet (20" or so to match the crate) or just a couple sq feet..... a local carpet wholesaler sells their carpet samples all time for a couple bucks and does wonders...

This isn't a pet barrier, but I could see it being very useful if you have a pet.

Go here: http://stores.homestead.com/CanvasbackInc/-strse-237/GMC-cln-Terrain%3CBR%3E2010/Detail.bok

It's a canvas cover that covers the entire cargo and rear seat area.
In a similar vein, considering this to keep the dog's fur under some sort of control. What I like is it does the cargo area sides too.
Have to find out if it splits at sides to lay down if you drop the rear seat back. One would think it would.

Also, there are barriers - need to find what would fit Terrain. They are usually very adjustable.

We had two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels(Charlie and Monty) and we used harnesses on them that had seat belt attachments . We buckled them up. That way they wouldn't become projectiles in the event of an accident. Also kept them in place nicely. Can also be used in cargo area with different attachment. No barrier needed then.
