Ok,
Let me be clear, I feel dumb by asking this but I just can't figure it out...

How to use those park tilt mirrors??
Sometimes the left tilts, sometimes the right...

I read the users manual Page 21/410 is it says how it works but not how to set it.

Can someone please share some knowledge?

Thanks

I did'nt try on my Terrain (both mirrors are tilting), but on my Maxima the mirror that was tilting was selected by the mirror electric setup button... if the right was selected the right was tilting... If no one was selected the 2 was tilting... Maybe :)

I think you've got a glitch... I use park tilt (accessible through the menu) and have yet to see anything but both tilting at the same time, and returning to my setting when shifting out of park.

Yes, yesterday I realized both tilt regardless of the rocker switch (Left,Center,Right) position.
What I'm wondering now is how to tell how far down to tilt... Is that connected to the Memory seats somehow?

I don't think we have any control over how far down the mirrors tilt. At least I've never come across any settings for that particular function.

On SLT-2 with NAV, there is an option to have the mirrors tilt down when the transmission is in reverse.
Useful to avoid backing into things when coming out of your garage or to see curbs when backing up into weird spots.
Not sure about models other than the SLT-2 with NAV though.

It says in the manual that you need the memory feature option to have Park n' tilt.

Thanks, Roesterman.
Only reason I mentioned NAV is cuz we program ours with the Touch Screen, not the DIC.
Guess I should have checked the manual LOL!

Just to clarify you do NOT have to have nav to have park/tilt on your SLT-2. My old Terrain had it but no navigation. You program it through the menu on the main screen, not the DIC.

Good thing the DIC isn't touch-screen - sorry to the female readers - been a long week.

I have an SLT1 and my mirrors don't tilt either so I believe you're correct, only on the SLT2.
The rest of them will tilt if your close to an immovable object :>)

The tilt on reverse command is most likely in all of our canbus systems and just disabled if you dont have the memory seats. The canbus system can most likely be hacked to turn that feature on/off but you would have to have some sort of an idea of what parameter to find. And of course not everyone would be able to do this, you would need a can cable and software which is not cheap.
