Is there any way to change the key fob to unlock ALL DOORS with one press????? (my acura lets you pick this.)

i always end up hitting it once and then having to get in the back doors later and having to walk around the car and unlock the friggin doors.

also has anybody noticed a humming sound from the engine when you start off from stopped? (you cant hear it with the radio on.)

Sure...it's done via the Vehicle Personalization menu...

Here is a link to the Online Owner Manual...see section 5 page 34...
which states...

Remote Door Unlock
This allows selection of which doors
will unlock when pressing the unlock
button on the RKE transmitter.
Press the MENU/SELECT knob
when “Remote Door Unlock” is
highlighted. Turn the knob to select
“All Doors” or “Driver Door.” Press
the knob to confirm and go back to
the last menu.

Yes. My wife loves unlocking all the doors at the same time. I hate to wear out all the door locks every time I get in and out of the car, so I have to put up with it because if momma is happy, daddy is happy. ;D

I even told her we could both be happy if she would just press the button twice to open all doors and I can open just the drivers door with one press, but she said no, she wants to do it HER WAY.....stubborn woman.
As already mentioned you can change to all doors - or also hit unlock button twice to unlock all doors as well without changing settings.
That's funny -- non of the sales guys at the dealer knew about this -- they all said too bad -- you cant do it -- live with it!

(The Forum comes thru again.........)
That's a shame -- our salesperson actually walked us thru the entire set up menu on delivery, including the OnStar initial call. And changing door unlock keypress options was one of the options on the personalization menu.
God, how did we exist before without auto door openers on our cars? ::) . How did we exist without cell phones, cell phone texting, the internet, Blu tooth, ipods..?

Your point is? We existed with arrow and fire...should we go back?
Kinda like apples and oranges. Can't compare the two.

Fire and arrows = food-eat-live-protection. Can't live without.

Electric doors and cell phones = nothing to contribute to health and protection. Actually cell phones (while driving)= death, accidents and road rage.

They are just items of convienence that 99.9% of people CAN LIVE WITHOUT. Some I like and some I agree with Old Lar.

JMHO
Still missing the point, we no longer hunt with arrows and cook with open fire. At least not in daily life.
