On Star Virtual Advisor and Traffic Reports

I used the OnStar Virtual Advisor all the time in my Malibu for live traffic reports (just had to say "get my traffic" once I got into the virtual advisor). I'm not sure if the change has occurred for all vehicles, but in my new Nox, if I go to the virtual advisor, it first lists all of my saved destinations/directions (put in from Google maps or Mapquest) and it's a real pain to try to get to the traffic or weather. A couple times I've had to hang up and reconnect and try to "get my traffic" several times. Does anyone know of an easy way to get to the traffic report without having to listen to all the saved destinations, etc?

I don't know why GM simply doesn't put a "main menu" here...

I ran into this as well as the Equinox OnStar behaves differently than our '08 Acadia (2 different versions of OnStar). What's worked for me is to push the OnStar button and say "Traffic". It will go directly to your traffic information. Also the same applies for weather. Just say "Weather".

Thanks, I'll try this. Do your traffic/weather reports count against your phone minutes? I've been told they are supposed to, but so far, mine have not.

BTW, I assume you mean the telephone button, not the OnStar button...
I tried it... works like a charm! Thanks! And it's not using my phone minutes either.
Glad it worked for you. Yeah I meant the telephone button. Also works with the steering wheel radio controls. Quickly push the phone button and when the magic voice says "ready" say traffic or weather.
No deduction of minutes here as well. Same for our Acadia.
