Re: Post real world pics here!

The white really does hide the big fender.

The Gold looks tremendous. Weird to type that. But it just seems to really look good on this vehicle.

Thank you Danno for posting pictures of the Summit White GMC Terrain. I've been waiting to see the Terrain in white and it has definitely lived up to my expectations. The Merlot Jewel Metallic was my #1 choice, but I think the Summit White is now pushing its way up to that spot ;D

I will update with pictures of the one we picked up once I get around to taking some better ones. I have a couple on my phone but the quality isn't the greatest.

Yes, its a V6. We drove the V6 first, then test drove the 4. The first thing we noticed was the steering in the 4 had a much more loose feel, due to the electric power-steering system, verse the hydraulic rack-and-pinion setup on the V6. Also we noticed the engine noise. The 4-cyl had a much more distinct, and seemingly rougher idle. My guess would have to be to the larger 4-cylinder and the use of balance shafts, as well as from the direct injection engine??? We knew after about 30 seconds of each of us driving it, that we would not settle for the 4. We live in rural PA, where its nothing but hills, mountains and valley's, the V6 was a must.

As for gas mileage on ours. During our trips to Cleveland, that was at about 500 miles on the odo. we got about 21mpg. Then, two-weeks later we drove to Harrisburg, we got about 24 mpg on the turnpike. It seems be getting better with more break in. As well, around our home, we get a solid 18.2 mpg with all the hills and valleys.

To be honest us buying the Terrain was a fluke. We saw it on TV, and loved it. But went to the dealer to buy a brand new 2009 Hummer H3, the 2010's were out of our range. But, they couldnt find what we wanted within 600 miles of #1 Cochran. So, we looked at the Terrains, looked all over our area. This was the nicest we could find off the lot, so we snagged it. We are more than happy we did. This car has changed my mind about GMC. If this is the future of GMC, I am onboard from here.

Wow... it looks great in white! Congratulations... you'll love it.

@ nitti48... all Terrains with the dual exhaust outlets are 6-cylinders. And with mine (3,200km, 2,000 mi) I am getting a reported 20.5 US mpg. Mixed driving city/highway with very little freeway to date.

Very nice ride, thanks for sharing!
May it bring you many years of driving pleasure!
What I personally really like is the front view pic.
We have to put license plates on the front of the vehicle in Ontario.
Really takes away from the design, IMO, with a license plate up front.
:(
BTW, beautiful part of the country with the rolling hills and mountains!

Here are pictures of our new SLE-1 Terrain 4-cyl FWD.

I didn't get many angles because I took them from the garage as the wife was leaving for work, and it was too cold to go any further. :)

Hi, as a newbie to the site, had to start by saying WOW! Love Dano's and GMC_ Noob, Dano,Scooby 24 pix! We buy nothing but white and black autos. Love the Terrain in white. The chrome pack is a nice touch too.

We just drove at a GM Drive Event yesterday, 2 Terrains and Caddy SRX. SRX was 3L v-6 (both Turbo and standard eng.) Terrains were both AWD 4 & 6 Cyl.

In a nutshell.............SRX was def a tiny, but noticeable, bit quieter and silkier. Seats (bottoms and backs cushions) were VERY firm however, compared to the Terrains. And the 2nd row did NOT slide back 10" , as the Terrains do, for taller passengers.(possible deal-breaker?) Only the Turbo SRX was a definite Hoot to drive. (300 HP/296ft. lbs @ 1900 RPM! ) But for $49K , extremely nicely dressed, it better be. Terrain, as we'd equip it was $37K. The 4 and 6 cyl Terrains both had ample power, (w/ AC & 3 adults on-board!) but the 6 had more grunt, when downshifting. Only highway acceleration needs to be planned, a tiny bit more, with the 4. Not a deal-breaker considering I'd drive about 3-4K extra miles free, every year, with the 4's great gas mileage! Noise/ride was near luxo class and better than recent Hyundai/Honda SUV rides I traveled in. Only Caddy was as quiet as our Enclave, but not as soft a ride. The Enclave, if you haven't heard, truly rivals/surpasses the almighty Lexus in these areas ;D

In a nutshell, we love the white Terrain /SRX rides! We will order/grab one, in about 2-3 months as our current Buick Enclave lease expires. Decisions, decisions.......

Thanks to all the great members here for your reports/opinions/Pix. Look forward to reading more in upcoming days.

I really couldn't decide whether I wanted the Carbon Black or the White. I ended up getting the white, but since it is a 2011 it will be the Olympic white rather than the summit white. I hope it looks as nice as the last picture posted. I also thought the brownstone interior looked great with white. Thanks for the pics!

I didn't know they had packages with tv's in the seats. I wish mine had that. I thought mine had everything on it.
