So occasionally I'm hearing a high pitched noise at times when the front end/tires go over a decent bump or whatever.

It's almost like a metallic sounding noise, like a high pitch squeal. Hard to explain.

It doesn't happen all the time and it seems to happen over the more noticable bumps , particularly the front end.

I first noticed it when we got a good bit of snow here and the roads were crap.

I thought it could be something with the stereo and perhaps the iPod connection being jostled around or something like that but I've noticed it with the radio off as well.

Anyone else notice this or have any clue what it could be?

Which package and engine type do you have, ShockwaveTXB?

Noise cancelling usually occurs in the lower end of the sound spectrum. That's why the actually cancelling is done through the subwoofer in the back of the vehicle (if what I read was correct...) The sound deadening in the glass and insulation in the doors covers the high pitch sounds well enough.

I think you may have a bad strut.

I thought it could be the noise cancelling, but from what I've understood that comes from the subwoofer and is a low frequency signal so the high pitch sound I hear up front doesn't align with that.

I'm wondering if it's a strut or shock or something.

Might be worth taking to the dealer just in case...
