Im a little angry to go out to my 2011 nox to have it not start. I know its not an ipod from best buy but I want the dealer to give a little more then fixing the problem, im pi$$ed. Anyone had the dealer throw on something extra in situations like these, hoping I didn't get a lemon lol.

Re: Noy even 2,000 miles vehicle wont start

Did the vehicle crank and not start?

or

Did it NOT crank when you tried to start it?

If the latter, then I strongly suspect your battery.....you can do a search on here re "Rear Defroster not working" and learn about a lot of us having poor batteries....which have been replaced with bigger and better ones thanks to GM.....

If it cranked and did not start....then definitely this should be a job for the dealer to fix..maybe they'll even wash your vehicle for ya!!!

There's a recall on the 11's for this. Mine did the same thing.

11004 is the recall number.

The little blue LED's NEVER shut off, thus draining the battery.

Assuming this is the LTZ or has the little blue ambient LEDS in the door pulls and cupholder, etc.

Sorry about your problem, but IMO the dealer doesn't owe you anything other than fixing the problem under warranty. Remember, the dealer didn't make your car, they just sold it to you.

I'm sorry to hear about the problem as well...but have to completely agree with SS#1531

Heck I'll even step out a little further and say GM doesn't owe anything but the fix as well.

Now that notwithstanding...and having been a New Car Dealer Service Rep for 25 years

Customer Satisfaction (aka J.D. Powers etc) ratings are very important to ALL Manufacturers and Dealers...especially the selling Dealer...and if my Dealership sold you your car...I as a Service Rep would bend over backwards to try and make you happy with the Service Experience of having your car fixed. And that would include giving you a "loaner" car if necessary (even if you didn't buy the extended warranty under which the "loaner" would be covered. "Loaner" cars are NOT covered under the Basic Warranty. You are entitled to a "loaner" car under Basic Warranty ONLY if you bought the extended warranty).

But it's uncalled for to expect a Dealer/Manufacturer to "buy your satisfaction" with some sort of precedent setting "gift" for your troubles.

Sure I want you to get a Survey from Chevy after your Repair Visit and I want you to fill it out as COMPLETELY SATISFIED in ALL categories...but I want you to base the response on legitimate expectations.

I welcomed you sincerely
I listened to you sincerely
I took the nature of your concerns sincerely
I did everything under my control to expedite your "Brand New Car Repair"
I did everything under my control to get it fixed correctly the first time
I was understanding of your frustration
I provided you with Transportation whether or not you were technically entitled to it.
I followed up after the repair by calling you to be sure things were ok
I asked you to let me know if anything else came up that required repairs or to answer any product questions that might arise.

But worrying about a lemon with what is so far a single issue is silly
And expecting to "get something" for your inconvenience is a small part of what's wrong with this country today.

You bought a car...or a toaster...or a TV...and the Manufacturer gave it a Warranty...and we all know some Warranties are better than others...and some things don't even have a Warranty.

Your entitlement..............is to have it fixed

Re: Noy even 2,000 miles vehicle wont start

Wow you guys have all painted the wrong picture of me through one coment. I have been in the customer service industry for a family business for ten years, I enjoy keeping my customers. I have out of pocket lost money to keep clients that I may profit a few hundred dollars every year or so just to make them happy to keep them coming back. Theses clients can be the biggest jerks in the world. My name is my reputation and frankly we are known to have the best rep in town due to our customer service. You guys are acting like I want them to outfit my vehicle with leather seats, premium sound, and the best wheels. I think it would be nice if they put on $80 mud flaps on my car, Ive never bougt a new vehicle and am upset that I did because my family and I are out a vehicle for a few days. I have worked hard for everything I have ever had, and never had taken a hand out from anyone, Ive had a job and paid taxes from before I was in high school, but I know what treating people fairly and nice is.

Thank You for thinking you know who I am. The comment coming from the car dealer makes a lot more sense and that is exactly why people don't like car dealers. It took me three dealerships until I was finally comfortable with the dealership and the sales person becasue everyone was like the dealer above.

Re: Noy even 2,000 miles vehicle wont start

My 2010 wouldnt start after 90 miles on the odo. Ended up being the BCM.

I didn't ask for anything, but dealer wrote me a check for 800 dollars to pay for the first month.

I was shocked.....but this dealer is amazing, best I've ever delt with

1st month? Do you mean your loan payment? You pay $800 a month?

Although we only bought a 1LT, (which in here in Canada probably cost us as much as a LTZ in the US), can you imagine our payments, since we took financing for only 48 months.

Re: Noy even 2,000 miles vehicle wont start

Long long ago I had a new Camaro and the dash had a squeek where it met the windshield. Being brand new I took it to the dealership to have it fixed. They had the car all day. When I returned to pick it up I ask the service manager if they had it fixed. He put his arm on my shoulder as we walked to the car and suggested I simply turn up the radio loud enough so I couldnt hear it and that should solve the problem. Shortly after that I was escorted of the property by the local police, squeek and all :>)

I had to go in the next day and redo all of my paperwork since the dealer put the wrong VIN numbers on all of my papers.
They offered me a first oil change free of cost .

My friend used to dive a Lexus. I asked how he could afford to buy it. His answer .. "I couldn't afford it .. I leased it".

I couldn't afford an $800 a month loan payment. That = $38,400. As you friends up north have said .. Vehicles are expensive in Canada. What's in intrest rate?
