I own a 2004 srx V-8 52,00 mi. Anyone having low coolant warning? I had to top off every day about a quart. had a code of engine misfire (engine running rough on start up and for about 10 minutes then it sort of ran a little better but not perfect) and check engine light on. went to mechanic, a friend of mine, and he told me northstars are known for internal leaks and that it was probably a blown head gasket (although i never had steam from exhaust),cracked head or block. and it would probably cost about $3,000.00 to fix. I spoke to a mechanic at dealership and he told me about a product called Thermagasket. I'm a gambler and thought what the heck. I called the company and they were very helpful. they guaranteed (from my description of my problem) that their product would work for me. I bought the product ($115.00) and it worked!!!! been driving my car as usual put on about 2,500 miles so far and no problem at all. I'm probably the last person who would ever try this type of repair but so far it is running great. Just thought Id let everybody in on this product. It dosen't clog up any thing in cooling system. rep explained to me that if it was a blown head gasket or crack in head or block the engine create extensive heat at that point of leak and that heat is what makes the product work. also that it would be as strong a repair or stronger then before at that point.

Great, used Blue Devil on a Dodge Pick Up and it sealed it up great. It was also losing water
and running rogh. $59.00 the you have to pull the thermostat and flush before using but the end
result was great.
