After reinstalling the dash from a blend door replacement, I discovered the turn signals and flashers don't work. Everything else seems fine. The obvious question is did everything get plugged back in? To the best of my knowledge, yes it did.
According to sources I found, the turn signal and flasher relay are built into the back of the hazard switch - top center of the center console. The only other item that seems to be a possibility is the turn signal switch itself. Not having procured a good electrical diagram yet, I don't know if anything else is part of this circuit. Both the hazard and turn signal fuses are fine.
It isn't coincidence this happened right after the dash had been removed. The turn signal stalk is a little sloppy and got bumped around during the project. It was sloppy before, though. I'm going to order a new one just for good measure. Especially after it started smoking while pulling back on it to activate the passing lights.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this specific problem and what they might have found that corrected it. Thank you.
