No fog lights on my 2011 SRX Luxury

My SRX Luxury didn't come with fog lights and the low beam quality is poor. It's hard for me to believe that I am finally able to purchase a Cadillac and am afraid to drive it in the dark! I was even more disappointed when my dealer told me that a kit is available for $740.00 (tells me that they may have had other complaints). Any suggestions?

How about an HID conversion ? I'm sure Steve can fix you up for about $200. You can save over $500 and have great visability.

Do a search on HIDs and you will see many kudos for XenonDepot.com

I am very surprised you didn't take the time to compare SRXs and that you didn't realize that the Luxury SRX doesn't come with Fox Lights???

They come standard on the Performance and Premium models SRX. As far as the brightness of the standard low beam I find it more than adequate on my Performance 2010 SRX!
Marc, I could be wrong, but I think the Luxury model came w/ basic Halogen headlites, not HID's like we have I didn't realize my other GM had weak Halogens also till I drove at nite. Had to put in brighter Sylvania bulbs to get adequate lites. But They shoulda put fogs on all of them IMHO.

How did you research and buy your SRX? I take it you never actually saw the model you ordered in person?

I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt, as I just got a Yukon ($59 freakin K!) and did everything except give it a colonoscopy, AND drive it at nite.......
LOL

The lites HAD to be upgraded. $35 and 2 hours labor max did it! It has nice fogs but I still felt it needed more. Next time..........
